Biegun cold cuts with QAFP certificate

Our cold cuts have been awarded the prestigious QAFP certificate

As of February 29, 2024, five of our products have received the prestigious QAFP certificate. This certificate is awarded only to products of the highest quality, and these include white steamed sausage, jałowcowa sausage, hunter’s sausage, Polish roasted sausage and ham roasted sausage. Products that meet strict requirements at every stage of production, have high meatiness and a characteristic taste can gain such a certificate.

Why choose products marked with the QAFP certificate?

When purchasing products manufactured in a certified QAFP Food Quality System, the customer receives a guarantee that:

  • each participant in the production process, whether a farmer (pig/poultry producer), slaughterhouse, cutting plant or processing plant, has met strict quality requirements;
  • the entire production process “from field to fork” can be identified;
  • each stage of production is supervised by an independent entity – a certification body;
  • the products are characterized by high quality.

The QAFP Guaranteed Food Quality System has separately codified standards for individual types of products. Separate industry brochures establish requirements for pork, poultry and cold cuts.

What standards do our meats meet if they have been awarded the QAFP certificate?

  • QAFP certified sausages are produced according to traditional, proven recipes and have a so-called “short label” – they do not contain unnecessary additives.
  • They are made from high-quality QAFP raw material.
  • They are characterized by low efficiency, i.e. high meat content.
  • They contain only natural spices.
  • In the production of QAFP cold cuts, it is forbidden to use substances that improve taste and smell, as well as mechanically deboned meat.
  • It is also important that they have a low salt content and are smoked only in smoke generators.

The QAFP Food Quality Guarantee System is a process officially recognized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development that guarantees high quality food products, including pork and poultry. The system works “from farm to fork” – that is: from breeding and selecting appropriate animals, through their feeding, to the production process. For the consumer, buying pork loin, chicken fillets or sausages with the QAFP certificate means buying a product with exceptional qualities. Find out more on the website www.qafp.pl
